Another semester comes to a close and what have I learned?  Plenty!   After my online Natural Resource Management class at Santa Rosa Junior College I can no longer remain a passive bystander when it comes to the health of our planet, and its future…our future.

*    I will continue my plight to leave a softer carbon footprint on this earth and the lessons learned throughout this course will remain front and center with me as I go forward from here.

*    “Consciousness Runs Deep” reminds me just how critical the health of our streams are.  To us and to so many other species.

*    Watch the video World Population and you’ll understand how critical population control is to the future of our planet.

*    In “The Story of Bottled Water” with Annie Leonard, I was forced to take my blinders off regarding our drinking water and the myths about bottled water.  Wow, are we slaves to the marketing campaigns when it comes to water!

*    I no longer look at a forest as a remote corner of the world that doesn’t much affect me or my life.  Seeing the Forest on vimeo.com taught me why.

*    Everybody knows Smokey the Bear, and his vigilant anti-forest fire campaigns.  But find out why fire is actually instrumental for some and even necessary for other trees to proliferate in some forests.  Learn more about personal preparedness at readyforwildfire.org
